When planning Julie and Leo’s engagement session, they mentioned a painting called “The Singing Butler” to me. A romantic piece depicting a couple dancing on the beach with their maid and butler shielding them with umbrellas. The painting is hanging in their home and they thought it would be a fun idea to recreate it. I had never seen it before, but immediately fell in love with the painting as well and was all for recreating it. The couple shares a love for theater. It plays a large role in their lives with Leo being an actor and Julie an event coordinator for a NYC theater. Since they would be wearing evening attire, how perfect was it to start the shoot at The Paramount in Peekskill NY! Love how the session told the story of them enjoying an afternoon at the theater and ending the evening at the beach for sunset. I’m so happy with how it turned out and that we were able to do something that suited them so well. In just 2 months I’ll be seeing Julie and Leo again in their evening wear at their Bear Mountain wedding!
