Riviera Maya Destination Wedding
If I could sum up this wedding into a single word it would be “Magical”! Antoinette and Kevin met with their closest family and friends at Ocean Riviera Paradise Hotel in Riviera Maya Mexico. A vacation for all, centered around these two special people’s love for each other. How wonderful for the party to be spread over several days! I just love destination weddings for allowing couples to spend so much extra time with their guests.
First Look
Antoinette wore a flowy dress by Grace Loves Lace and a floral crown which made her look like a Grecian goddess. Kevin in white linen and barefoot completed the beach wedding look so well! It rained a ton leading up to their wedding day. And it rained a lot on their wedding day as well. Surprisingly, as soon as they stepped foot on the beach to do their first look, it stopped. And it stayed clear for the entire evening! It was obvious how much anxiety was built up within them due to the stresses of the weather when they met on the beach, but when they saw each other, all of the worries diminished. They were so thrilled to be in each other’s arms.
Ceremony
The day they had been waiting for finally arrived and it was time to get married. Kevin’s sister officiated their ceremony which overlooked the ocean. The sound of the waves behind, sun shining down, and touching words, it was just perfect.
Soon after the ceremony, they were given a gift from above, a magnificent double rainbow! It was too beautiful for words, hope the photos help do it justice haha! Everyone stopped and gazed at it’s beauty. I don’t think anyone will forget how magical that afternoon was. Cocktail hour continued on as the sun set offering yet another natural wonder to admire! While taking sunset portraits with them, I actually discovered heart shaped clouds around them! It was truly a reward for the difficulties that mother nature had caused previously.
Reception
The reception took place in a room full of Mexican charm. Open walls allowed for ocean views and a breeze to flow through. There was endless laughter, dancing, heartfelt moments, and happy tears. A perfect celebration all around! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Abrahamsen and thank you so much for being so welcoming!
