Cornell University holds a special place in Katie’s and Steve’s hearts since they met while attending the school. I was happy to make the trip up as I love exploring new places. The campus is breathtaking! It was great having such fun guides to show me around and get some back story on the university and the grounds. We started at the Cornell Plantations which has a bit of everything, rolling hills, ponds, some really unique trees, and great views. I chuckle a little looking at the first two shots posted here. This is where we started the shoot and I walked ahead of them to setup lights. I said meet me inside that tree as I pointed to it. They walked right by wondering where I went… yep this is what we do for great shots, crawl under trees, sit on the edge of tall bridges, and drive to locations in the distance and communicate via cell phone to pose. These two did awesome with it all! After the Plantations, we headed to an incredible stone bridge built into Cornell’s famous gorges! We had a gorgeous sunset which wrapped up a delightful afternoon in Ithaca. So very excited for you, Katie and Steve and can’t wait to celebrate with you in 2017!
