The setting, Ocean Place Resort and Spa located in Long Branch NJ, right on the shore. The plan, an entirely outdoor wedding on the beach. The reality that day was rain and strong wind, but it was AMAZING. With rain coming and going shortly before the ceremony, they decided to go ahead with having it on the beach. It drizzled a little and was quite windy, but boy was it both beautiful and memorable! Colleen and Doug seemed to not even be phased by the weather. They were so thrilled to be enjoying this monumental moment in their lives. Nothing would ruin it for them. They exchanged personally written vows in front of their closest family and friends. We took portraits right after and very quickly at that due to what we were given by mother nature. Hair and dresses blowing were unavoidable. It didn’t matter. It was a fantastic portrait session. It made for such care free and natural looking photos. In addition, the sky looked wonderfully dramatic! This couples love for each other completely radiated that day. It was wonderful to see. What a spectacular wedding!
